Monique Pittas

Psychologist

 

Monique is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) having completed an Honours degree of Psychology at Deakin University followed by the AHPRA approved 4+2 internship program.

Monique provides a welcoming, a non-judgement and friendly environment where you can feel heard, understood, and validated. Monique believes that therapy is an invaluable tool to explore all parts on yourself in safe place, by learning new skills, and re-defining your relationship with your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.

Monique is interested in working with adolescents and adults, with a range of mental health concerns. These include but are not limited to, mood and anxiety disorders, stress and adjustment issues, trauma including complex PTSD, borderline personality disorder, self-esteem, and body image related challenges

When working with clients, Monique uses an integrated approach, drawing form a range of evidenced-based therapeutic frameworks. Monique uses therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitise Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy- Enhanced, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Mindfulness.
