Sara Batleska

Psychologist
BA(Hons), MProfPsych, MAPS

Sara is a registered psychologist who works with adolescents and adults, providing a collaborative and reflective space for clients to explore their experiences and create meaningful change.

At the heart of her work is the belief that every person has an innate capacity for self-understanding and growth. Therapy with Sara offers a space where clients can come to know themselves more fully, gain clarity, and move toward a more authentic and connected life.

Her approach is relational and depth-oriented, focusing on the emotional patterns and relational dynamics that shape a person’s life. Rather than addressing symptoms in isolation, Sara helps clients explore the underlying influences that drive thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. This process supports clients in making sense of recurring patterns, developing greater self-awareness, and understanding how past experiences may be influencing present relationships and challenges.

Sara works with people navigating a range of life challenges, including significant transitions, relationship difficulties, loss, anxiety, guilt, and feelings of being stuck. Many of her clients come to therapy feeling disconnected from themselves or others, burdened by hopelessness, or caught in cycles of low motivation and withdrawal. She supports clients in exploring what brings meaning and purpose to their lives while addressing emotional patterns and behaviours that may no longer serve them. Her work also provides space to reflect on the effects of unresolved experiences and how these continue to shape emotions, behaviours, and relationships.

Sara integrates evidence-based and depth-oriented therapeutic approaches, drawing from relational, experiential, psychodynamic, and cognitive frameworks. Her practice incorporates elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive and Dialectical Behaviour Therapies (CBT & DBT), mindfulness practices, and self-reflective techniques. She also works with parts work and internal dialogue reflection to support clients in exploring different aspects of themselves, helping them understand emotional conflicts and patterns of behaviour that may be shaping their experiences and relationships. She is particularly interested in helping clients engage with deeper emotional layers and longstanding patterns that contribute to their current challenges.

Sara has worked across various settings, including schools and the public sector, providing her with insight into the diverse challenges people face at different life stages.

She completed a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) with Honours at The University of Melbourne and a Master of Professional Psychology at The Cairnmillar Institute. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
