Sasha is trained as a Clinical Psychologist, Family and Systemic Therapist and AHPRA board approved Supervisor with 20 years of experience working in mental health. Sasha has worked in a variety of settings including Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services, Education settings, Outreach, Inpatient and Private practice with her most recent experience managing a headspace centre.
Sasha is passionate about holistic approaches to wellbeing incorporating mind, body, and spiritual aspects, in addition to understanding how an individual may be connected with family and community. Sasha works from a strengths-based approach, focusing on potential internal and external resources to support someone through life’s challenges. Sasha has undertaken a wide variety of evidence informed trainings which are integrated during therapy, and she values empowering individuals to learn and grow through experience, helping them to reconnect with their strengths. Sasha is keen to support people to move beyond challenges and thrive in life, drawing on their values, unique skills and interests.
Sasha has experience offering both individual and group supervision/secondary consultations to mental health organisations and education settings. She offers experience in running workplace wellbeing workshops and delivering wellbeing programs including developing wellbeing packages to nurture staff with complementary therapies. Sasha has first-hand knowledge of supporting organisations internally. She has done this through change and creating positive team cultures, coaching and supervising staff, offering team reflective spaces, and mediating as needed to ensure respect.
In addition to primarily supporting teens, adults, families and couples with life and relationship challenges, Sasha has also facilitated both psycho-education groups and groups to support social connection reducing isolation.
